New Marzocchi Fork
“Marzocchi will present a new fork on the 4th of April. It will be available in a 15mm thru axle version, or made for regular quick release hubs. The fork can be used with 140, 120 or 100mm travel, it is also available with the ATA system for adjustable travel (140-100mm).”

"Riding a bicycle without brakes sounds like a rash move, but a wave of cyclists are eschewing traditional bikes for a stripped-down machine known as a fixed-gear. It is one of the most basic machines you can build with two wheels. A fixed-gear bike - or fixie - has no derailleur as it has only one gear, so as long as the wheels turn, so do the pedals. Its rider can't freewheel and the only way to brake is to stand on the pedals.
The fixed-gear's renaissance supposedly stems from West Indian immigrants in New York working as cycle couriers in the Eighties. They had used them at home because they were cheap and easy to maintain, and continued using them in the US. Their light frames and speed made them perfect for work. It's popularity spread throughout the courier community, finally crossing to the UK and other countries."

The Pope picked up this bike and told me it was marvelously light and that he wished he had one like it a long time ago!
I remember that the Pope said to me that "you are in the midst of all the cyclists and the sport and I want to bless cycling and all the riders." That really touched me deeply when the Pope said that.
CN: Do you think that Pope John Paul II actually rode this bike?
EC: No, I don't believe so. After a year or so, the Vatican contacted us to give this bike back and the Pope requested a sports type bike with regular flat handlebars so we built him one, a white one. That's the bike he rode in Castel Gondolfo."

Inammisibile!
Questa secondo me è una cosa inammisibile.

"Marco Trabucchi, il procuratore calcistico che al volante della sua Porsche Cayenne provocato l'incidente davanti al tribunale di Milano costato la vita ad una donna, era solito utilizzare le corsie riservate a bus e tram pur non essendo autorizzato a farlo. E' quanto emerge da un faldone consegnato dai vigili urbani al magistrato titolare dell'inchiesta sullo schianto.
Trabucchi, subito dopo l'incidente nel quale rimasero ferite anche 21 persone, raccontò che aveva improvvisamente dovuto sterzare per evitare due pedoni che avevano attraversato improvvisamente la strada. Una delle tante telecamere disseminate per la città gli da ragione. Ma molte altre telecamere hanno ritratto l'auto del procuratore percorrere le corsie preferenziali, normalmente riservate ai mezzi pubblici e a quelli autorizzati. Negli ultimi sei mesi, secondo quanto emerso dalle ricerche effettuate dai vigili urbani, l'auto con targa svizzera posseduta dall'uomo avrebbe collezionato la bellezza di oltre cento multe.
La disinvoltura dello svizzero è motivata dal fatto che gli stranieri che commettono infrazioni in Italia, non pagano mai le multe. La sanzione gli viene infatti notificata passando per il consolato, ma se decide di non pagare le istituzioni italiane non hanno strumenti per costringerlo a mettersi in regola. E così molti ne approfittano.
Nell'inchiesta per stabilire le responsabilità dell'incidente, la storia di Trabucchi come automobilista avrà il suo peso e verrà attentamente valutata dai magistrati. Quel giorno, il 24 febbraio scorso, l'auto di Trabucchi sterzò improvvisamente urtando un autobus di linea che si schiantò contro un tram proveniente in senso opposto causando la tragedia. Trabucchi è accusato di omicidio colposo e lesioni gravissime plurime.

The second-annual Qashqai urban mountain bike freeride series will be taking place in five European cities over a five-week span with a $250,000 prize purse. Last year’s series marked a landmark in freeride mountain biking events. Ten’s of thousands of spectators, the world's international press and broadcasters followed the tour to show their huge support for the riders and the Nissan Qashqai Challenge whilst the riders excelled to new heights.The Nissan Qashqai Challenge 2008 will consist of five contests in Italy, Spain, Germany, France and the UK.
