2010 Orbea Rallon

"Designed around 150mm rear wheel travel, the Rallon will come in three trim levels with front suspension ranging from 150mm to 160mm via various Fox forks. The frame works with traditional and Hammerschmidt cranksets and prices range from $3,159 to $5,469.
Orbea’s goals with the new Rallon seemed to be a contradiction of terms: lightweight and raceworthy combined with freeride, all-mountain durability and versatility.  Weights for the various models range from 12.5kg (27.56 lbs) to 13.5kg (29.76 lbs), which are just on the lighter side for bikes of this category and right in between full-on freeride/DH bikes and XC bikes.  The top-end Rallon 10 comes with a Crank Brothers Joplin lever activated adjustable seatpost.  If you don’t use it for what it’s worth, swapping it for a Thomson or similar would shave 2/3 lb (300g) off the bike’s weight with no loss of durability.
The Rallon’s frame is hydroformed Tricone aluminum.  Other than the seat tube, each tube is heavily shaped to increase strength and stiffness while managing its weight.
The Lambda Link suspension was designed using Orbea’s Advanced Dynamics to take into consideration all of the forces acting on a suspension.  The results, they claim, provide very active small bump sensitivity that progresses to a very linear mid-stroke platform for predictable performance.  At the end of the stroke, the design firms up while still allowing for full movement through the shock’s stroke."

Prototype Deity Cryptkeeper Dirt Jump Frame

"What you see here is our first prototype and we are already making some subtle changes for the frames you will see at the end of the year. The Cryptkeeper will also be joined by our upcoming street specific frame, the Streetsweeper which, like the Cryptkeeper, will be designed to focus on the needs of dedicated street/park riders. The needs of a dirt jumper and the needs of the street rider in terms of frame design are two different worlds and must be treated as such.
We wanted to create a true aggressive dedicated dirt jump bike with the Cryptkeeper. Our focus started with BB height issues which all center around a frames "BB Drop". This is the center point of where the BB shell sits in line with the center point of the wheel axles. By using a 25mm BB drop, we are able to get the center of gravity lower without sacrificing maneuverability of the front end off the ground. By using super-short 15.25" chainstays, the bike is able to accelerate extremely fast out of berms and by being balanced with a 22.25" top tube length, the rider is directly centered on the bike making its handling extremely predictable.

Deity Cryptkeeper geometry
Head angle- 69.5 degrees
Seat Tube angle- 71.5 degrees
Seat Tube Height- 10.5-inches
Chainstay Length- 15.25-inches
BB Drop- 25mm

Frame Features
-Integrated headset
-Seity spanish BB system
-External triple butted seat tubes
-Double-butted tubing throughout
-Compact micro dropouts
-Full black ED treatment on the inside of the tubes to prevent rust
-100% post-weld heat treated.

New Rock Shox Sektor Trail Fork

"More product is flowing in from the Taipei Bike Show and the latest news from SRAM looks to be pretty exciting. First off is this new trail fork with slew of options that is said to be a great value, although we haven't seen the recommended retail price yet, it certainly sounds like a versatile new fork.

This new sleek trail suspension from RockShox can only be described as a modern fork that transcends all. With a diverse range of options and an amazing price to performance ratio, this trailblazer can hang with its more refined counterpart, RockShox very own Revelation.

Revelation set the bar for all front suspension that performs in the 150mm travel arena. To continue the RockShox promise we had to work hard to uphold performance and low weight in such an affordable fork. The “outside the box” approach in spring and weight development really tells a story about creativity and innovation in product development.

Sektor is about choice and being able to acquire a product that performs for your trail riding needs. We start with the 9mm QR, 15x100 or 20x110 Maxle Lite offerings and then provide you three spring options; Coil, Solo Air and U-Turn. This fork offers affordable and exciting options.

Features
• Travel: 130, 140, 150mm (Solo Air, Coil), 100-140mm or 110-150mm (U-Turn)
• Damping: Motion Control (RL), TurnKey lockout (TK) and external rebound (R)
• Forged, hollow 6061 T-6 aluminum crown
• 32mm 7075 aluminum upper tubes
• Redesigned external rebound adjuster
• 9mm QR, 15mm Maxle Lite, 20mm Maxle Lite
• 1 1/8” Aluminum steerer, 1 1/8” to 1.5” tapered aluminum steerer, 1.5” aluminum steerer."
